WILL YE ALSO GO AWAY?

Key Verse:

“From that [time] many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?

Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.”

— John 6:66-69; KJV

A time will surely come when the question, “Will ye also go away?”, confronts everyone who follows the LORD JESUS.

And when that happens, a clear and uncompromising decision must be taken whether to remain in CHRIST or forsake HIM.

In John 6, we read about our LORD JESUS preaching and the teaching the people. HE did many miraculous works including feeding the multitude with just five  barley loaves and two small fishes.

The multitude followed HIM but many of them went back later on. They could not receive the 'hard' words of JESUS.

Thank GOD for Peter and the rest who were resolute to be with JESUS saying, “Lord, to whom shall we go?...”

There are many people who were once with the LORD JESUS CHRIST but today they are no more in HIM.

This is sad and tragic!

Many people have left the LORD because of worldliness, carnality, vain glory, offences, immoralities, unfulfilled expectations, and so on.

Are we also going to be swayed away after coming this far in the LORD?

Let us return to the LORD JESUS in repentance. Let us abide in HIM.

Let us agree with Apostle Peter, that come what may, we pledge our allegiance to our LORD and SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST forever.
