Luke 19:30-31 KJV
“30 saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither.
31 And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him.”
According to the 1828 Webster dictionary, “Useful”, is to be helpful towards advancing any purpose.
In the ancient world, donkeys were used for ceremonial purposes.
Whereas horses were symbols of war, donkeys were symbols of peace and often used to enact treaties, but this donkey in context was tied up without serving any purpose.
In this account of our brother Luke which is much erected during Passover celebrations, much attention is dwelt on the King Jesus but not the animal.
Jesus was about to enter Jerusalem to perfect His assignment on the cross for which He came. And there was a need for a donkey to take part in His triumphant entry as the King, as prophesied by the prophet Zechariah (Zech. 9:9)
Jesus sent forth two of His disciples whose names were not mentioned, to go and untie this donkey because it was needful and useful to Him.
You may be tied down by many things like sin, addictions, life issues, pleasures of the world, discouragement, demonic power, etc.
But Jesus is ready to untie you and your family today because you're useful to Him.
As He did for the man (Mark 5:1-20) who was demon-possessed transformed him to become Kingdom possessed, He is ready to do the same if only you are ready.
Quote: God can use you fully, so don't be used for less by satan.
