THE PILLARS OF GOD’S JUDGEMENT

Key Verses:

“3 The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the Lord hath spoken this word.

4 The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish.

5 The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.

6 Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.”

Throughout Scripture it is so clear that, GOD has never intended to destroy men. However, He, as a result of His holy nature, cannot in anyway overlook evil or contempt for Him.

For this reason, GOD has had a justifiable cause to punish wrongdoing as well as wrongdoers in previous generations, current generations, and the final judgement yet to come upon the entire world.

If one reads the Bible carefully, we will come to the indisputable conclusion that, GOD’S judgement has always been grounded on some pillars, which have been summarised into four main pillars in (Isaiah 24:5): which says, “the earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.”

Taking them one by one:

• The earth is defiled—is one main pillar on which the judgement of GOD has been and still to be visited. Humans out of our corrupt practices, shedding of innocent blood, invoking of evil spirits, abuse of the natural environment have defiled the earth; which is still ongoing.

• The transgression of the laws—is also one repudiating action of humankind, in which intentional efforts have been made and are being made to set aside the laws of GOD from institutions, families and society. Even to the extent that, everything against the laws of GOD are the ones being promoted and accepted as law and practiced as normal lifestyles. Eg. divorce, adultery, abortion, stealing, etc.

• Changing of ordinance—is also one big evil on the rampancy, where the ordained principles of GOD are being turned upside down; such that things like gender identity (where only male and female was created), is being changed in blatant disregard. Ordinances like marriage which was made to be between a man and a woman is also being altered into man marrying man, man marrying animals, woman marrying woman and animals, and other things, etc.

• Breaking the everlasting covenant—is the most heinous crime ever committed; where GOD’S covenant with men which should make He alone the only GOD to be worshipped by us, has been grossly broken, to the extent that men are worshiping every other thing apart from GOD the Creator.

Unfortunately, these pillars are still and even being highly erected by men in rebellion against GOD. This is calling for an imminent judgement from GOD, soon to be visited on the world of sin, with only a few men to be saved or spared.

This calls for a deeper examination into ourselves to ascertain whether we are standing within any of these pillars, for soon the judgement cometh with great destruction, or we’ll be among the few to be spared who obeyed GOD.
