PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR INNER MAN

Man’s life can be categorised into three different factions:
. The intentionally published public life; where people portray only what they want others to see and believe them to be.
. The unintended created perceptions; where one’s actions or inactions give a certain impression of oneself to others, without they intending so
. The unseen private life; which is one’s real lifestyle
The most important faction, is the unseen private life. Because, that’s where GOD is interested the most, since that defines the actual nature of every man.
Once we get that one right or wrong, our actions and inactions whether accepted by people or not, wouldn’t be much of a big deal.
This private unseen life is mostly controlled by the inner man, either positively or negatively, depending on the amount of attention we give or do not give to it.
Evidences of how interested GOD is in our private unseen lives, can be found in verses like (Matthew 6:1-6; Proverbs 16:2; etc).
Proverbs 20:27 says, “The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly [body].”
Whenever you feel like talking to someone in a certain way, with the aim to cause them pain, please listen to your inner man. Whenever you feel troubled within yourself when you are about to do or say something, please listen to your inner man. Even when you are about to eat some kind of food and you feel disturbed in you, please listen to your inner man.
The list goes on and on, but the import is that, if we would obey or disobey GOD, it depends on how we pay or not pay attention to the inner man.
We should remember that, this inner man is a recording agent GOD has put in us, and so whatever we do is being recorded and would be used either for or against us on the Final Day.
Let us not be only interested in what people see on the outside, or what they even perceive about us. But rather, we must pay attention to our inner man.
When all is said and done, the records of our inner man will prevail. No other testimony or recommendation will be heard before GOD, who clearly sees our intentions and closed doors activities.
May THE LORD have Mercy and be our Helper.
