Key Verse:
“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”
— Ecclesiastes 3:1
Beloved, the Spirit of God reminds us that life is built around seasons. Nothing remains constant except the faithfulness of God. There is a time to be strong and a time to be still, a time to overflow and a time to be emptied. There is a time to be a fountain and a time to be a drain.
Understanding the Two Seasons
Every believer walks through moments when God calls them to pour out—to bless others, to encourage, to serve—and moments when He calls them to pause, receive, and be restored.
If you always give without allowing God to refill you, you’ll soon run dry.
If you only receive without ever pouring out, you’ll become stagnant.
Both seasons are holy. The fountain season teaches us how to minister, and the draining season teaches us how to depend. The same God who fills you today may allow you to be emptied tomorrow—not to punish you, but to prepare you for a greater outpouring.
Declaration:
“LORD, kindly help me understand Your purpose in every situation I am in. And kindly help me to always be what I am, when I should be. In our LORD JESUS CHRIST’S Mighty Name!”
