A BEGGAR WITH A CHOICE

ree

Isaiah 45:9;

"Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?"

This topic is nothing but facts of life.

Human beings often forget that they do not own themselves but were created by Someone. We often forget our roots.

Let us kindly look at this scenario: A beggar standing by the roadside begging for alms. A Good Samaritan reaches there and drops a coin in the beggar’s bowl. The beggar removes the coin, gives it back and demands a paper currency and a much bigger amount from the giver. This is a beggar with a choice.

Another scenario is an employee who noticing that his colleague has been promoted at the workplace, confronts his employer and questions him as to why he bypassed him and promoted his colleague instead of him. What effrontery!

Beloved, does the employer not have the right to do what he pleases with his own work and workers? If the boss hadn’t employed the worker in the first place, would the worker have the audacity to even be at the workplace to challenge him?

Another one is, a person daring GOD and giving HIM a deadline or ultimatum, threatening HIM that hell will break loose if HE doesn’t grant a request he has petitioned HIM for so long a time.

If you ask me what I think about such a person, I will tell you that this person is confused. Being in a confused state can make one misbehave or make wrong decisions. A beggar with a choice.

Unfortunately, this is the lifestyle of many Christians in our dispensation. We were not part of the Commonwealth of Israel. It is just by the Grace of GOD that we have been called children of GOD. But after the LORD has been merciful and gracious unto us, we are now challenging the LORD by our way of actions.

Some are showing ingratitude after being saved by the LORD, by drifting to the broadway. Others are tampering with, and altering the body created by GOD by adding up to what the LORD had wonderfully and fearfully made and even said it was good after creation. Indirectly, they are challenging GOD that HE could have done it much better than how HE has created them.

Beloved in the LORD, please let us not make our LORD regret HIS decision of creating us and also coming to this earth to save us --- the Gentiles.

May we never lose sight of the fact that HE is the potter and we are the clay and we are not in any right position to question the Potter.

GOD bless us all.

Quote: “To say that we are clay acknowledges GOD’s handiwork as the Master Potter of our physical body.”
